Or are you saying we can amass enough tier 9 relics by combining like this? Ok, lets see how wrong that is too.
The total number of relics I got from 24 legendary weapons were 182 tier 4, 202 tier 5, 5 tier 6. Combining takes 3 relics of the previous tiers for all these tiers and onwards. I'll round up because I am generous and assume I get a 3 to 1 conversion from each combine.
182 tier 4 = 61 tier 5
263 tier 5 = 87 tier 6
92 tier 6 = 31 tier 7 = 11 tier 8 = 4 tier 9
Congratulations, you now have enough tier 9 relics to meld one True relic. Now deconstruct 12 more weapons to get the shards.
